If you've been doing everything right and your body still isn't cooperating, you're not imagining it.

Your body is changing and the approach that used to work has stopped working.

You're doing everything you know to do, but the results feel unpredictable and the advice feels contradictory.

Some days you’re motivated and consistent. Other days the mental load of it all just feels like too much.

You want to feel strong and energized, not just thinner. But the wellness world keeps offering you the same tired solutions.

You're starting to wonder if there's a way to take care of yourself that doesn't require so much friggin' brain space.

Deep down you're not looking for another plan to follow note for note. You're looking for something that finally makes sense for the body you're actually in right now.

You're not the only one who feels this way.

So many women reach this exact point, where the rules they've lived by stop working, and the constant effort stops producing anything but exhaustion. You find yourself jumping from one wellness program to another hoping to find relief, hoping to experience the promises being made to you...but they never come. It’s not that you’ve lost discipline or fallen behind. It's that your body is in a real transition, and no one handed you YOUR new manual - rude, right?

You don’t need to start over or fix yourself. You don't need to follow the rules that were written for someone else. You need a foundation built for where you actually are today, grounded in science and self-trust, and sustainable enough to last through every season of life that's coming. There is a calmer way forward, I promise! It starts with understanding what's actually happening in your body right now and working to build your own set of guidelines...the foundation that will support you in this beautiful new chapter of your life and beyond.

Hi, I'm Colleen. Registered Dietitian & Fellow 90's Diet Culture Survivor.

Let me guess. You've added the protein. You've tried to strength train. You've cut the carbs, tracked the macros, started fresh more Mondays than you can count. You're capable. You run a whole life that other people depend on. So why does this one thing, feeding yourself in a body that suddenly feels unfamiliar, feel impossible?

I want you to hear this clearly: it's not a willpower problem. And it's not you.

I spent almost a decade inside the system that told you it was.

I used to be a weight-loss dietitian. For years I worked in corporate wellness and weight management, helping high-functioning women navigate food and habits. They were smart, motivated, doing all the right things. And they still kept cycling. A weekend away would derail the plan. A stressful month at work. They'd come back feeling like failures, and I'd watch them try harder the next time.

What I didn't fully understand then is that the plan was the problem. Restriction triggers a biology that makes restriction impossible to sustain, and every restart made the next one harder. I was part of a system that kept capable women stuck and convinced it was their fault.

Then my 40's hit and perimenopause knocked on my door.

My body started changing in ways my old playbook didn't account for. And even though I'd spent years watching restriction backfire on hundreds of women, even though I knew better, I felt the pull. The pull to go back to tracking every bite. To restrict. To grip tighter on my body the moment it started to feel unfamiliar. To make the scale the center of everything again.

I caught myself. And the shame was immediate, but the clarity was sharper, because that pull taught me something I couldn't have learned any other way.

When your body feels unfamiliar, the pull toward control isn't a character flaw. It's a nervous system response. And I'd just felt it from the inside, after everything I knew.

That's the thing that keeps women cycling. And I finally understood it completely.

So here's what I'll tell you that most won't.

Wanting to feel strong, energized, and like yourself again is completely valid. There's nothing shallow about it. But the method you were handed to get there, the restricting, the shrinking, the starting over, is the exact thing working against you now. In perimenopause it doesn't just fail. It backfires. It accelerates muscle loss, keeps your stress response switched on, and makes the next attempt harder than the last.

I'm not anti-weight-loss. I'm anti-the-thing-that's-been-making-this-harder-for-you.

Instead of another plan, I help you build a foundation.

I'm Colleen Jessessky, a Registered Dietitian and Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor. My work brings together perimenopause science, metabolic nutrition, and intuitive eating principles, not as competing philosophies, but as the full picture most advice leaves out.

I don't hand women rules to follow until life gets busy. I help them build the skills to understand their own bodies, so a hard week is just a hard week, not the start of another restart. My work is weight-neutral, not because weight doesn't matter to you, but because strength, metabolic health, and body trust are what actually get you where you want to go.

I'm also navigating this transition myself, in real time, with the same tools I teach. That combination, the clinical training and the lived experience of being right where you are, is what I bring to this work.

Here is how I can support you.

Working with me isn’t about following another plan. It's about building a foundation that actually works for where your body is right now.

The ALIGN Foundations Reset is where this becomes real. It's the foundation, built in the right order, for the body you're in right now, for the life you want tomorrow. If you're tired of doing everything right and it not being enough, this is your way out of the cycle. Come see how it works.

This isn't about letting go of structure. It's about building structure that works with your body today, instead of against it, aimed at building health for decades to come. Evidence-based nutrition and body-trust together. A flexible foundation you can actually adapt when life gets hard or hormones become unpredictable.

My approach is calm, curious, and collaborative. There’s space for learning, real-life application, and a group of women who are navigating the same transition. This is a place where food and health stop feeling like a battle and you start to feel steads in your own rhythm again.

On the personal side...

I currently live in Minneapolis, MN with my husband Matt and our two adopted fur babies, Annie, our anxious hound dog, and Dr. Abraham Erskine, our cat who adopted us back in 2016.

I'm a dietitian that doesn't love to cook - sign me up for the quickest way to prepare healthy food!

I currently can't live without my Peloton! There's just something about keeping my streak alive that keeps me motivated.

Foods that typically make it on my weekly rotation include pizza, peanut butter sandwiches, and eggs with spinach.

When I’m not watching movies with my family I’m probably rewatching Smallville, Gilmore Girls, New Girl, or Schitt’s Creek for the hundredth time β€” comfort TV is my love language!

I'm happiest spending time with family, catching live music, or simply enjoying the fresh air!
