I used to be a weight loss dietitian. For years I worked in corporate wellness, helping high-functioning women navigate food, habits, and health. I watched capable, motivated women exhaust themselves trying to do everything right. I understood that pressure - deeply - because I was living it too; measuring my own worth by how disciplined I could be, how small I could make myself, how perfectly I could follow the plan.
Eventually, I couldn't keep doing it. Not because the science wasn't real, but because the weight loss framework was broken. The restriction, the scale as a report card, the willpower narrative - it was making women worse, not better! And it wasn't built for women navigating perimenopause. So I walked away from the weight management world, and walked away from using weight loss as a goal. I want to be clear on what that means though: I didn't walk away from the metabolic science, I walked away from the system.
Now I'm in my 40's, and my body is changing in ways my old playbook doesn't account for. Every day I make a choice: I refuse to let focusing on my body size take over my life. I refuse to dedicate my mental energy to shrinking or fitting into some. mold society tells me I need to fit into.
Instead I'm doing the work that actually matters: building habits around bone health, strength, energy, and a relationship with food that holds when life gets hard. I'm not telling this story from the other side of the coaching table anymore, I'm in it right now, navigating the same transtion my clients are in.
That's what brought everything into focus. I help women navigating perimenopause stop overthinking every bite, build a way of eating that supports their energy and strength, and start creating the health they want for the decades ahead.

Colleen has always been passionate about nutrition and helping people create meaningful change. After earning her degree in Interpersonal Communication in 2008, she began her career working in weight management clinics, where she discovered the power of combining science, empathy, and behavior change. This experience inspired her to return to school to become a registered dietitian, earning her credentials in 2014.
Since then, she has gained extensive experience in metabolic health, most recently supporting medical weight management programs and managing employee corporate wellness clinics for a Fortune 500 company. Her additional training in leadership and certification as an intuitive eating counsellor in 2025 have shaped her holistic, science-backed approach to wellbeing.
That same year, she founded Rosalia Nutrition and Wellness after leaving Corporate America, driven by a desire to make a more personal impact in peopleβs lives. Today, her work focuses on helping women feel calm, capable, and confident in their food choices so they can show up fully in every area of life.
